Phluke Tech, trading as Bluechip Technology, was founded in 2007 by Luke Phillips, a respected figure in the ICT and networking infrastructure community in East London and the Eastern Cape. Under Luke's leadership, the company experienced significant growth until he sold it in 2017 to pursue opportunities overseas. The business was subsequently acquired by David Burberry and Brent Strydom, who, during their tenure, purchased and integrated a sister ISP company called Edgeweb into Bluechip. This integration continues to thrive to this day. In 2022, Bluechip was acquired by The Page Group Pty Ltd, a prominent name in the ICT sector, particularly within the public sector. Since The Page Group took over in August 2022, Bluechip Technology has continued to expand, solidifying its reputation as a leading force in IT consulting across the Eastern Cape and South Africa.
